DayZero™ Stem Cells: 4 Quality Standards That Set Them Apart
What DayZero™ Umbilical Cord Stem Cells Are
DayZero™ umbilical cord stem cells are mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) derived from donated umbilical cord tissue and processed by ZEO ScientifiX under strict cGMP standards. They are 100% non-fetal and non-embryonic. The umbilical cord is collected after healthy, full-term births from consenting donors. The MSCs are then isolated, viability-tested, and cryo-preserved at defined concentrations for clinical use. At Rebuild Regen Medical Clinic, DayZero™ is the exclusive stem cell product used. There are no generic "stem cells" offered here.
The DayZero™ line is available in 10M and 20M cell-count vials for local injection and 100M, 120M, and 150M IV bags for systemic delivery. Concentration selection is driven by condition severity, target tissue, and protocol design.
The 4 Quality Standards That Define DayZero™
1. AABB-Accredited Tissue Bank. AABB is the international accreditation body for tissue banking and transfusion medicine. AABB accreditation requires adherence to rigorous standards for donor screening, processing procedures, and quality management. Not all biologics suppliers carry this certification.
2. FDA-Registered cGMP Facility. ZEO ScientifiX operates in an FDA-registered current Good Manufacturing Practice facility. This means their production processes are validated, documented, and subject to federal oversight under 21 CFR Part 1271. cGMP registration is a baseline requirement for human cellular products intended for clinical administration.
3. ISO-7 Clean Room Processing. ISO-7 classification limits particulate contamination to 352,000 particles per cubic meter or fewer. This level of environmental control minimizes contamination risk during processing and filling. Most tissue products are not processed in a certified clean room.
4. Certificate of Analysis on Every Lot. A COA documents viability percentage, sterility testing results, cell count confirmation, and identity markers for each production lot. At Rebuild Regen, patients receive DayZero™ products with COA verification, not batch-to-batch assumptions.
What This Means Clinically
The biological potency of any cellular product depends on how well it was sourced, processed, and preserved. High-viability MSCs arrive at the injection site in a state capable of performing their signaling functions. Lower-quality products with poor cold-chain management or incomplete sterility testing represent an unknown clinical variable.
Elizabeth Celestin, APRN, FNP-C, and the clinical team at Rebuild Regen selected ZEO ScientifiX specifically because the DayZero™ supply chain is transparent and verifiable. When a patient asks about the product being administered, the team can answer in specifics, not generalities.
Stem cell procedures at Rebuild Regen are administered under the supervision of [MD_PLACEHOLDER], Medical Director, in compliance with Florida SB 1768. See Florida Stem Cell Law SB 1768 for full regulatory context.
Is DayZero™ the Right Biologic for Your Condition?
Patients with orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, and systemic inflammatory disorders are the most common candidates for DayZero™ stem cell therapy. The right concentration and delivery method depend on a clinical evaluation. Learn more on the stem cell therapy service page or review stem cells vs. exosomes to understand how DayZero™ products compare.

Are DayZero™ Stem Cells FDA-Approved?
DayZero™ products are manufactured in an FDA-registered cGMP facility and comply with 21 CFR Part 1271. The products are not FDA-approved treatments for any specific disease. Florida SB 1768 governs the clinical administration of stem cell therapy in this state.
How Are MSCs Different From Embryonic Stem Cells?
Mesenchymal stem cells from umbilical cord tissue are adult multipotent cells. They are not embryonic stem cells and carry no ethical controversy regarding their sourcing. Donor consent is required at collection.
When a Different Biologic Is More Appropriate
Patients who prefer an entirely non-cellular biologic option may be better suited for DayZero™ exosomes, which deliver repair signals without living cells. Patients with active systemic infection or certain immunosuppressive conditions require evaluation before any biologic is considered.
